Joanne Chmura is the founder and principal designer of JHC Interiors, an interior design studio based in Upstate New York. Known for her creative vision, intuitive approach, and ability to build meaningful relationships with clients, Joanne creates thoughtfully curated interiors that are both beautiful and deeply personal.

She believes great design begins with listening. By taking the time to understand each client's lifestyle, preferences, and goals, Joanne creates spaces that reflect her clients' personalities while enhancing the way they live. Her collaborative approach and attention to detail result in timeless, personalized interiors.

Founded in 2001, JHC Interiors specializes in residential and select commercial projects, providing comprehensive design services from concept through completion. Joanne works closely with clients, guiding them through every phase of the design process while creating a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Over the years, Joanne's projects have taken her well beyond Upstate New York, with work spanning the Adirondacks, Nantucket Island, Charleston, South Carolina, and Florida. Whether designing a primary residence, vacation home, or commercial space, her goal remains the same: to create interiors that are functional, inviting, and reflective of the people who inhabit them.

Joanne holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the State University of New York at Albany and is certified by the Interior Arrangement and Design Association. Her work is guided by the belief that exceptional design should not only enhance a space but also enrich the lives of those who live in it.
